Madelia mobile village

A resident-owned community

Welcome Home!

Madelia Mobile Village Cooperative is a resident-owned manufactured home community in Madelia, Minn. Madelia Mobile Village is conveniently located less than one mile from downtown Madelia, and is surrounded by beautiful nature. We have a town pool, theater, excellent public schools, shopping and a variety of congregations to choose from. Madelia is known for its beautiful nature and the Watonwan River. The Watonwan River flows for more than 100 miles before meeting the Blue Earth River.

Our ideal setting allows for easy access to Highway 60 and Highway 169 and you can be to Minneapolis in less than two hours. Watona Park is a four-minute drive from Madelia Village. This beautiful park is close to the Watonwan River and features a golf course, playground and soccer and baseball fields.

Madelia Mobile Village is owned by the Community Members who live here – we are a resident-owned community (ROC).

the rent & make
the rules

We own it

The Member homeowners of Madelia Mobile Village control the rent and make the rules. On Dec. 22, 2008, the ROC purchased the land and infrastructure, such as the roads and water lines. Now, a democratically elected Board of Directors manages the business of running Madelia Mobile Village. Every Member household in the community has a say in who sits on the Board, how we spend our money, the annual budget, and whether we make changes to the rent.

We’re also part of a national network of nearly 300 ROCs just like us. That membership provides us with access to expert coaching on how to run our ROC, leadership development and training, communication with dozens of community leaders who face many of the same issues we do, and more. Life in Madelia Mobile Village is truly different than in a commercially owned community – we invite you to find out firsthand how that difference makes living here so much better.
