Community Description
Country View is located just south of the Twin Cities' Metro area, on the border of Lakeville and Farmington, Minnesota. Because of its size, Country View has the welcoming atmosphere of a small town, yet offers the convenience of being close to a large metropolitan area, shopping, recreation, schools and much more. Country View's most defining feature is likely the abundance of trees and foliage, which give the community a very home-like, "clean and green" appeal. Besides three large parks, two with playground equipment and one with a baseball diamond, the community has a heated outdoor swimming pool during the summer months, staffed by certified lifeguards. Country View offers a large indoor community room, available for use by the residents and their guests. Country View also has a large concrete and cage-construction storm shelter for weather emergencies. Each August, the community sponsors a catered dinner for all residents in conjunction with the National Night Out activities that are held throughout the country to promote crime-free, drug-free communities. Country View is a member of Minnesota's Crime-Free Multi-Housing Program. Country View provides an excellent example of a well-maintained, professionally managed manufactured home community. Various dealers sell homes in Country View--among them Park Place Homes in Bloomington, MobileHome Minnesota in Shakopee, Frontier Mobile Home Sales in Lakeville, and ABC Housing in Faribault. Homes that are for sale in the community are indicated with a large sign posted in the front window that includes the seller's contact number. The management office also maintains a hand-out list of current homes for sale in the community through dealers or residents.
